I'm applying to graduate schools right now, and I realized the slides I have of my BFA show are rather dark, so I took another stab at editing them. On some I used new pictures with different angles, others I just re-tweeked the color. I feel they are a lot better than before. Every image from that line of work is new, a select few I decided to send to your inbox since I felt they were a lot better, or more showing of the work. Let me know what you think!

I've created a group! It's called "Conceptual-Art" I'm afraid now though, that the name will scare people away and I should have gone with my original idea of "Art-With-Idea". If you have an opinion on the name of this club, even if you aren't a conceptual artist at all, please let me know. ALSO, I have a question to anyone who is a group admin... How does an ADMIN submit their own art to their group? I can simply click the "contribute art" button at the top of the groups I'm in and choose from my gallery, but I have to "submit art" for my group which means I submit a NEW deviation. I do not wish to do that. I can favorite my pieces, but I also do not wish to do that. Any helpful advice before I go to the help desk?

In other news, I still have two toilet paper rolls left to be used as a tissue cover. If anyone would like to purchase one, read below.

So... I've run into hard times and I am desperate to make some money. Thus, I've decided to sell some art that is just lying around. I'm promoting the Toilet Paper Rolls that everyone seemed to like, but with a twist. They are also a tissue cover @_@ !!!

I am also very willing to sell some of those chocolate fingers which can also come noses and ears. If anyone is interested I'll have to get back to you on price.

Other than that, if anyone sees something in my gallery that they would like to buy other than the tree teapots, please note me. If would like to commission something, that can definitely be done! It may take a little while, but it can be completed before Christmas if that's what you need it for. Some great ideas are mugs, bowls, plates... Moms love things like that. Even though I may usually put a weird spin on my art, I am trained as a potter, and I still make work like that. I just don't show it here.

A little update on my life in the past year. I got a huge scholarship in 2008, At NCECA this April I won the equivalent of a "Best in Show" at the student juried show. I didn't get into the JET Program, which has left me searching for last minute jobs and opportunities. I'm still waiting on them... And last, I'm getting married this weekend. w00t!

I'm pretty sure that's all that has happened worth noting. I've made a lot of new friends this year, and I've matured both as a person and an artist tremendously, so overall it's been one of the most successful years of my life.

I'll be writing another journal entry once I know where I'm going, maybe some of you will be around that area.

1. I work in clay, but first I try to do sketches and work directly and closely to the sketch. In the past year, every time I sketch it ends up being really deatiled and not a sketch anymore. I rather like that I wouldn't go as far to call them works of art themselves, but the idea of making art from art interests me.

2. I get sparation anxiety from being away from studio. I spend roughly 6-12 hours daily in studio, but hardly any on the weekends. I need a break, and my social life calls to me.

3. I suffer from kidney stones. Drinking enough water is hard. Contrary to popular belief, they don't hurt to pass. the largest one I've had was 2mm. It hurt only on the way to my bladder.

4. I hate being alone. When I'm alone I have to deal with the thoughts in my head, and I don't enjoy doing that.

5. I miss my interaction with the ReBoot Fandom. I'm just too busy at the moment to know about anything going on, and it really saddens me. It's the people in the fandom that I miss the most. They kept me well during a hard time in my life.

6. I'm studying Japanese. Currently I'm in Japanese 6 at my university. Once I graduate I want to move to Japan and teach english for a couple of years. After that I've been offered an apprenticeship with Masaya Imanishi, a ceramic artist, for three months or so. A wrench in the system is that I have a serious girlfriend who I could potentially marry, but not before I go. We'll see where my path takes me.

7. I care too much about people. It keeps me up at night. I give others my all and I don't seem to have enough left for myself. I can be a huge pushover, and I don't really mind. Luckily I have good friends that don't take advantage of that.

8. I lost 15 lbs from August to October, and I didn't have 15 lbs to lose. It seems that walking to school and work, and only eating enough to get by because of money and room in my backpack causes weightloss from a little fat, but mostly muscle. I'm trying to get it back but it's hard when I'm still walking and eating only a little. I'm not yet underweight, and I've stayed at the same weight since October, so I'm not too concerned. I just want to look like I used to.


If you guys are feeling up to it, you should do this too. It was pretty fun.
